Their prowess was on full display Wednesday night as the Saints struggled on both sides of the field. The Stevenson starting line up included two players who achieve Grand Champion rank in Rocket League's fifth season, and still hold that rank to this day. The Saints Rocket League team were looking for their third win of the season this past Wednesday, but were denied that by Stevenson University, who swept the Saints away 0-3. Saints Rocket League Falls to Stevenson U HennyJ went on an impressive eight stock run with only one stock left to his name giving the Saints a decisive NACE victory. However, it would be Henry "HennyJ" Julca who took home the MVP award for not only defeating Pikachu, but also Ottawa's third and fourth leg playing Little Mac and Mewtwo respectively. Andrew "andy" Cichetti gave the Saints an early lead with Pyra/Mythra by defeating Ottawa's Donkey Kong and taking one stock away from their second leg, playing as Pikachu. In NACE, things went very much in the Saints favor. Legmer beat Bowser with all three stocks intact, but could not defeat the Palutena again, taking only one stock from her that time, which gave Pace the win. Orchard, using Ness beat Greninja and then went on to Bowser, but could not defeat him. In the third set, SputnikGT faced Greninja but only took two stocks once again. Palutena was able to get the reads on Joker and keep Pace University in the game. The team looked to run back the same plan in the second set, but when legmer found himself in a full three stock match against Palutena for the second time, he could not defeat her twice. Orchard finished off Bowser and took all three stocks from the Greninja by using Ness. SputnikGT took two stocks from Bowser with King Dedede. For the first match, the Saints seemed to have the formula right. Like many Smash crew battles, the success for the Saints came down to who matched up with whom. On Tuesday night of last week, the Saints brought Sam "SputnikGT" Putney, Alex "legmer" Holland and Duncacn "orchard" Stuard to battle Pace's line up of Bowser, Greninja and Palutena. However, the Saints narrowly lost to Pace University last week just barely getting beat out by them 2-1. In a direct reversal from last week, the Smashing Saints took another win in the NACE conference against the University of Ottawa, beating them 1-0.
